Record GCSE Results

Headteacher Simon Ellis stated “We knew the pupils were good but I have to say they’ve  smashed all previous school records and their performance will be one of the best in Wales.  To achieve over 80% is a landmark for the school and shows the tremendous dedication of the parents and the teaching staff.”

In addition to the overall figure every pupil achieved at least a grade C in Science and all pupils who receive free school meals got 5A-C including English and Maths.

Head of Science Mrs Preston said “I am so proud of the pupils, for every one of them to get at least a C is superb.  They have attended extra revision classes and after school seminars, for it all to pay off is fantastic”

Deputy Headteacher Lynn Lloyd commented “As a year group they have been very supportive of each other and dedicated to their studies, we look forward to welcoming most of them back into our Sixth Form”
