The Great Maelor Duck Race
(Posted on 07/10/14)The Maelor School PTA are holding a Duck Race on 16 May 2015 at Nant Mill. They are asking parents, family and friends of the school to support the school by buying a 'Racing Ready Duck' for only £2!! If you would like to support this event then please contact any PTA member, drop into Reception or contact Mrs Audrey Stewart at the school on 01948 830291. All proceeds go towards the school.

*** NEW Community Hockey Club ***
(Posted on 07/10/14)There is a new indoor Hockey Club at the Maelor School which is in the sports hall on a Monday 3,30pm to 4.30pm for Maelor School pupils and 4.45pm to 5.45pm for Primary School pupils. Anyone can attend and join in the fun - no experience needed! Just come along in PE kit and non-marking sports footwear and meet Scott the coach. £1.50/session ONLY

Another year of excellent GCSE Results
(Posted on 22/08/14)Staff and pupils were celebrating at The Maelor School where for the fifth year running GCSE examination results have been excellent. This year 98% of pupils achieved 5A-C grades matching the best performance the school has ever achieved. Headteacher Mr Simon Ellis said "I am delighted for these hard working dedicated pupils, they deserve their superb grades. Excellent A Level Results
(Posted on 19/08/14)The Maelor School have achieved outstanding A level results with every student in year 13 achieving the Level 3 threshold (2 or more A levels). The number of A* and A grades has further increased and 84% of A levels taken achieved grades of A*-C.
